Viewing & Exporting Reports FAQs

Customizing Your Reporting Views

Can I save the customized view that I have created for a report?

At the moment, users do not have the ability to save the customized reporting views they have created. Once a user leaves a report page, the report will refresh back to the default view.
Note: The ability to save custom reporting views will be supported in a subsequent iteration.

Will my exported reports reflect the customized reporting view that I have created?

No, currently exported reports are based on specific templates that include defined data columns reflecting your applied filters. If you have hidden certain columns in your reporting view, they will still be included in the generated export.

Exporting Reports

What file format is available for exported reports?

At the moment, exporting from the Merchant Portal only supports .CSV file formats.
Note: The creation of exports in .XLSX format will be supported in a subsequent iteration.

Is there a limit to how many exports you can create at any given time?

No, there is no limit to the number of exports a user can simultaneously create. However, the more reports you trigger for export, the longer it will take to process.

Is there a limit to the number of transactions per export?

Yes, users can export up to a maximum of 500,000 records per report. Exports that exceed 500,000 records will exclude any data after this limit.

How long does it take for a user to successfully export a report?

The time required for an export to complete depends on the volume of data in the report. In some instances, it may take only seconds, while in others - such as when exporting datasets with hundreds of thousands of records - it could take several minutes.

Will My Export Continue if I am Logged out of the Merchant Portal?

Yes! If you have started an export and you leave the portal / your session times you, your export will continue to compile in the background. When you return to the portal, the download drawer will reflect the progress of your export. Once your export has finished compiling, the download will begin automatically.

How is a user notified when their export is available to download?

A user that has triggered an export will receive an email notification when their download is ready. This email will include a button redirecting to the new Exports page that will automatically start the download. If the user is active in the portal, they will also receive a notification prompt in the new export progress drawer when the download is ready.

How long can past exports be accessed in the portal to review and download again?

All exports are stored in the portal for 1 year and accessible on the Exports page.

Are there any limitations based on user roles when exporting reports or managing past reports?

The ability to export a report is dependent on the user’s role within the Merchant Portal. Account Balance and Transactional Reports can only be exported if the user has permission to access the report. Refer to the User Roles and Permissions documentation for a detailed list of reporting access. Users can also review and manage their reports from the Exports page. This page lists every export generated across the organization and is filtered based on access.

Do I have the ability to delete exports created by other team members in my organization?

Yes, if you have Admin level user permissions. Otherwise, only the creator of an export has the ability to delete their exports.

Can I cancel an export before it has finished processing?

At the moment, users cannot cancel report exports once triggered, but exports can be deleted from the Exports page.
Note: Cancel functionality and retry functionality for failed exports (due to system errors) will be supported in a subsequent iteration.
