Homepage and Analytics Dashboard FAQs

What products have Analytics available?

The Analytics Dashboard is currently only available for the INTERAC product.

When will Analytics be available for the IBT product?

The timeline for IBT analytics is yet to be determined. If you'd like to see this data prioritized, please reach out to your Account Manager and share your feedback.

Which user roles have access to the Analytics Dashboard?

Only Admin and Operations roles will be able to see analytics data on their homepage.

Can the Analytics Dashboard be turned on for other user roles?

This capability is not currently available but is under consideration for future development.

How up-to-date is the data in the Merchant Portal?

For Account Balances, there is a timestamp that lets you know exactly when the data was last refreshed.

For Analytics data, all the summary cards and charts only include data from the previous day (up to 12AM ET). For example, if on Dec 18th a user selects the reporting period of "last 7 days" and a frequency of "daily," then the user would see data from Wed, Dec 11th - Tues, Dec 17th.

Where is the data in the Analytics Dashboard sourced from?

The analytics data is extracted from a merchant's transactional data and uses the same data source as the merchant portal reports.

How can I trust the accuracy of the analytics data?

As mentioned above, the analytics data uses the same data source that your merchant portal reports use. Additionally, transaction volumes and conversion rates are calculated in the same way we calculate these metrics internally, ensuring that the data you see aligns with what the Paramount team tracks and monitors.

Can I save an analytics data view (reporting period and frequency)?

No, your reporting period and frequency will reset once you leave the homepage / your homepage refreshes.

Can I export the transaction volumes or payins conversion chart?

Currently, charts can't be exported, but this feature is being considered for future development.

What is the conversion benchmarking feature?

The conversion benchmarking feature allows you to compare your payin conversion rates, including gross, first-time user, repeat user and 24hr user conversions, against completely anonymized benchmarks from similar merchants.

How is data for conversion benchmarking collected?

Benchmark data is created by aggregating and anonymizing conversion rates from merchants with similar average monthly transaction volumes, grouped into specific cohorts. No identifiable merchant information is ever shared.

How are cohorts defined for benchmarking?

Merchants are grouped into 4 different cohorts based on their industry and 6-month rolling average of monthly transaction volumes. For those in the iGaming space, cohorts are also separated by regulated (Ontario) vs. unregulated markets (non-Ontario). This ensures fair comparisons among merchants of similar scale.

  1. Micro: 0 - 10,000
  2. Small: 10,001 - 100,000
  3. Mid-Market: 100,001 - 500,000
  4. High-Volume: 500,001+

What do the 25th, 50th and 75th percentiles represent?

  • 25th percentile: Lower performing segment, meaning that 25% of merchants in your cohort are performing below this value and 75% of merchants are performing above it, giving you a benchmark of what might be considered "underperforming" within your cohort
  • 50th percentile: Median / average performing segment, meaning that half of the merchants in your cohort are performing below this value and half of the merchants are performing above this value, giving you a benchmark of what "typical" performance looks like within your cohort
  • 75th percentile: Higher performing segment, meaning that 75% of merchants in your cohort are performing below this value and 25% of merchants are performing above it, giving you a benchmark for best-in-class performance within your cohort

Why might my conversion rates differ from benchmarks?

Benchmarks can reflect a range of business models, consumer behaviors, and operating practices. Differences may result from your cashier experience, targeting, or consumer base.

Is my data being shared with other merchants?

No! All conversion data used for benchmarking is fully anonymized and aggregated. Individual merchant data is never exposed or identifiable.

Can I opt out of having my data included in the benchmarks?

Currently, all merchants are automatically included in the anonymized dataset used to generate competitive benchmarks. If you'd like to opt out, please reach out to your dedicated Account Manager.
