01 | Failed IP validation. | Your payment cannot be processed because your location is outside Canada. Instant Bank Transfer supports transactions by users located within Canada only. |
02 | Suspicious or fraudulent payment history by the consumer. | Your payment cannot be processed. |
04 | Transaction amount exceeds consumer's limit. | You have exceeded your 7-day transaction limit. Please return to the cashier and make a purchase for an amount that is within your limit. |
07 | Maximum log in attempts reached. | You have exceeded your maximum number of bank log-ins. Please contact your bank for assistance with your online banking credentials. |
09 | The consumer cancels the transaction after bank account verification. | N/A

13 | Risk management subsystem rejects the transaction. | Your payment cannot be processed. |
14 | Negative information on the identity. | Your payment cannot be processed. |
15 | Mismatch with Merchant info. | Your transaction cannot be processed because the personal information on your bank profile does not match your account profile. To complete your transaction, please return to the Merchant site and correct the information on record. |
16 | There are not sufficient funds to cover the transaction. | Your transaction cannot be processed because there are not sufficient funds in your bank account to cover the transaction. Please deposit enough funds in your bank account to cover the transaction before trying again. |
17 | Cross-currency transactions are not supported. | Your transaction cannot be processed. Only Canadian dollar bank accounts (CAD) and Canadian bank accounts are supported. |
98 | The transaction is declined (generic error). | An error occurred in the transaction process. Please return and try again. |
99 | Consumer opt-out. | You have cancelled your transaction. |
101 | Invalid routing number. | Your transaction cannot be processed. Please check your bank transit number. |
102 | Bank validation failed. | Your transaction cannot be processed. Please check your bank account number and bank account type. |
103 | Consumer opted out after unsuccessful log in attempt. | Please contact your bank for assistance with your online banking credentials and try again. |
105 | Consumer online bank account error (account blocked, password reset, etc.). | Your transaction cannot be processed. Please contact your bank for assistance with your bank account. |
106 | Bank website unavailable. | An error occurred in the transaction process. Please return and try again. |
107 | No valid bank account available. | Your transaction cannot be processed. Please return and try again with a different bank. |
