The status of a direct transaction is sent to the merchant in the API response. For direct transactions, the status is initially PROCESSING with the final status being sent in a second response when all of the required information has been retrieved from the consumer's bank. Merchants can optionally use the Get Transaction Status API to check the current status before it's returned in the second response.
